The company's tier 1 and some of their supervisors need some training, are inexperienced, and need to be better at how to deal with plan questions such as terrorist clause to better understand if your covered when traveling to a foreign country where a terrorist act occurs before traveling. Best course of action is talk to there manager. They need to do a better job at answering plan questions before buying.

We understand you spoke with our Customer Service Department about the terrorist attack that took place in Nice France in July of this year. The plans you were inquiring about can provide coverage in the event of a Terrorist Act that occurs in the city from which you are scheduled to depart or in a city to which you are scheduled to travel, provided the act occurs within 30 days of your scheduled departure date. That city also cannot have experienced a Terrorist Act in the 30 days prior to your coverage going into effect in order for coverage to be available. Our Customer Service Manager was able to confirm that we defined the attack in Nice on July 14th as a Terrorist Act and that no additional attacks have occurred in Nice France since that time. Although I did not have any problems on this trip I did have to cancel a trip in the past and Travelex covered the cost of the trip. For this reason I will use Travelex for all my insurance needs for all my trips in the future

Happily, we did not need to use our insurance. However, on a plane ride between countries in Africa, we met a woman who had broken her ankle the first day of her vacation. She had originally thought she wouldn't get any insurance but changed her mind. She was glad she did! Her insurance had purchased three seats on the plane so she could keep her leg elevated during the flight. I won't ever travel without insurance now!

It's hard to recommend a plan you luckily didn't need to use. The devil is in the details of claims, and since I didn't need to file a claim, I can only attest that I chose this one after reviewing three or four plans, and it was easy to purchase.

This review doesn't really mean much in the sense I didn't have to use/file a claim. Let's say it gave me peace of mind, but the real test would be if the policy/coverage actually did what I bought it for.
The ease of actual purchase of coverage/policy means nothing. Working when needed does!
Would I buy again, Yes. More important though, I hope I never have to use it.
