If you were to contract bacteria or a virus while on your trip, there may potentially be coverage as the CSA Travel Protection Custom policy provides travelers with Trip Interruption, Travel Delay, Emergency Medical, and Emergency Medical Evacuation due to unforeseen illnesses and accidental injuries that were incurred while traveling. However, the threat of bacteria would not be a covered reason listed within the policy for Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption. To have coverage due to the threat of bacteria, we would advise reviewing products that offer the Cancel For Any Reason option.
