The plan gave us total piece of mind and we were able to pick a plan that handled our concerns. We never had to use the plan, but we were happy we made the purchase and considering what was going on around us with different airlines, we felt protected if we had any issues. Luckily my husband and I ended up never using our plan, but it was wonderful peace of mind. Especially when my husband caught some kind of chest cold and was the sickest he has ever been in his life. After a day or two of bed rest he was feeling 100%, but it was great peace of mind when we thought he was going to have to have a hospital visit in a foreign country.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance

We're very glad we got the Nationwide Mutual Insurance Prime plan because we ended up getting COVID on our trip to Iceland and the plan covered and reimbursed us for the return flights we had to miss, an additional week of lodging and car rental, and new return flights.
It was hard to tell what paperwork we needed, but to be sure we got an official government PCR test and submitted the certificate we got from that as part of our claim. We filed as soon as we got back home. It took about 3 months, and then out of the blue we just got checks in the mail saying our claim was accepted. So overall, would have appreciated better documentation on what paperwork was needed, what is covered, etc, but it worked out well for us.

Upset about policy coverage and cost. My flight was delayed twice on the outbound trip, causing me to discomfort with waiting at the airport in excess of 3 hours, missing a night stay at hotel that was paid in advance and could not be refunded, and rental car co. closed prior to arrival. Finally secured rental car but it cost more. It doesn't look like policy coverage is applicable to make a claim, so now I've paid money to insure my trip and with incident occurred I do not have coverage.
