We go to Canada regularly since both my wife and I have family living there. This is the first time we acquired health insurance for the visit but we are getting a bit older plus the risk of an accident always loomed over our heads. The Tokio Marine HCC Medical insurance was very easy purchased, had all the coverage we needed and eliminated any concerns we had about needing medical insurance while in Canada. Yes everything seemed reasonable for the price but the only way to know how good the coverage really works out is if you have to file a claim. Fortunately I did not have to file a claim but I feel it is only then that you would find out how good the coverage is that you had selected.

This is a review that really provides accurate content. So many reviews only state a plan was purchased but no claim was made. Well, I unfortunately, had to file a claim. We were all set to go on the plane when the flight was cancelled after sitting on the plane for three hours. This made our connection impossible and the other flights to Cancun were all booked. This meant no weekend getaway for us. We were devastated but filed a claim the next day. The claim paid 100% of trip costs and within three weeks. I highly recommend this company. The claim process was also easy. I will definitely purchase from them again and again. We are very satisfied!

Although I didn't have to use this coverage to file a claim, it still gave me peace of mind. My husband is 85 and I am 79 so the coverage was expensive as I chose a group that was a primary payer. However, I knew that I would have paid coverage in case of an emergency. That was worth it to me. If money is tight, then this type of primary payer coverage would not be a value.

Since no event happened I cannot tell if my insurance would have covered it or not. And since I don't exactly know the extent of the coverage I cannot tell if the price was reasonable.

We bought the luxary cruise plan and before our trip they changed our itinerary . When we got back we filed a claim for the $1250 back per person and we were sent a 2 checks within 13 days of filling the claim. Would highly recommend!
