This policy has the following coverage for Missed Connection:
"If You miss Your cruise or tour departure because Your arrival at Your Trip destination is delayed for six (6) or more hours, due to:
(a) any delay of a Common Carrier (the delay must be certified by the Common Carrier);
(b) documented weather condition preventing You from getting to the point of departure;
(c) quarantine, hijacking, Strike, Natural Disaster, terrorism or riot.
We will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, for:
(a) Your Additional Transportation Cost to join Your Trip; and
(b) Your Prepaid expenses for the unused land or water Travel Arrangements; and
(c) reasonable accommodation and meal expenses up to one hundred twenty-five dollars (125USD) per day necessarily incurred by You for which You have proof of purchase and which were not paid for or provided by any other source.
Your delayed arrival must be due to:
(a) any delay of a Common Carrier (the delay must be certified by the Common Carrier);
(b) documented weather condition preventing You from getting to the point of departure;
(c) quarantine, hijacking, Strike, Natural Disaster, terrorism or riot.
These benefits will not duplicate any other benefits payable under the Policy or any coverage(s) attached to the Policy."
This policy has the following coverage for Travel Delay:
"Benefits will be paid up to one hundred twenty-five dollars (125USD) per day for: reasonable accommodation, meal, telephone call and local transportation expenses incurred by You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, if You are delayed for twelve (12) hours or more while enroute to or from, or during Your Trip, due to:
(a) any delay of a Common Carrier (the delay must be certified by the Common Carrier);
(b) a traffic accident in which You or Your Traveling Companion is not directly involved (must be substantiated by a police report);
(c) lost or stolen passports, travel documents or money (must be substantiated by a police report);
(d) quarantine, hijacking, Strike, Natural Disaster, terrorism or riot;
(e) a documented weather condition preventing You from getting to the point of departure."

While the pan itself served my needs, I had to file a claim, as one of my travel companions had a family medical emergency, and had to cancel his portion of the trip. The trip was cancelled on Feb 16, 2019, and it took more than two months for the claim to be processed, and benefit check to finally arrive on April 25, 2019. Way too long! Their customer service recording states they try to process claims within thirty days of the forms and documents being received. I initially filed the claim online, filled out all the requested information, and submitted it to their claims dept. Two weeks went by without a word, then I get an e mail telling me that more documentation is required. Wish I could have received that memo a day or two after submitting the initial form, rather than wasting two weeks! the entire process just seemed to take much longer than it should have. I will probably not purchase any more plans from Travel Safe.

We agree that the claims process was not executed in a fast and efficient manner, but are happy to hear the plan was able to meet your needs overall. In part because of experiences like yours we recently changed our claims administrator. Our average process time is now 12 days. In the future, we hope you will reconsider purchasing TravelSafe based on our plan’s effectiveness and our new claims process. We are continuously looking for ways to improve our levels of service.
