We have taken out similiar policies underwitten by the same insurer to this one on many trips in the past, including experiencing an earthquake and it's aftermath in January 2020.

Though we suffered no losses nor delays the folks at CSA were constantly in touch with us to ensure all was well and proactively offered assistance if needed.

File a claim when cruise cancelled, no response for over a month. Emailed and quickly told not covered due to virus not being a covered reason. I think they could be a little more understanding in this time.
Had a voucher from the insurance company, called them and made changes on 1/11/2021, was due a refund, on 1/18/2021 called your customer service and was told they had no record and the refund had to come from the insurance company. The rep was very rude, especially when I told her the charge on my credit card was from Insuremytrip.com, she that is not correct and she didn't know anything about it. She said no supervisor was working and supposedly will call me back sometime.

As stated in our policy documents, our plans only reimburse for non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if you need to cancel your trip for a covered reason. I am very happy to say that although it took a while for resolution to my claim, I did get a completely fair and just solution to my claim. I do understand with the Covid pandemic that delays are not unusual and understandable but nonetheless great customer service revolves on addressing consumer concerns which definitely was done. I would recommend both InsureMyTrip and Generali Global Assistance Insurance wholeheartedly and not hesitate to tell my family and friends this and look forward to using again once worldwidetravel becomes more available and safe. Thanks again for listening and acting positively on my claim.

After a long battle with me having to "prove" my DCL Alaska cruise was cancelled "by DCL", they did come through and refunded my Policy premium. Next cruise I will buy from them again.

    Receive expert advice on how to navigate the claims process and file a claim properly with your travel insurance provider.
    Dispute resolution
    Anytime Advocates® will check the status of a claim. If a claim is denied, an advocate will work on behalf of the customer to learn why or to help with the appeal process.

We design our plans with today's travelers in mind, keeping the cost within reason and providing coverage for the main reasons you may have to cancel. Unfortunately, like other insurance plans you have, travel insurance cannot cover everything. In the event that you have additional information that was not previously submitted, showing that your loss was due to one of the Covered Events in the policy, you may submit this information via our eclaims portal (https://travelinsurance-us.eclaims.csaclaims.com) for further evaluation of your claim. "

DON'T USE GENERALI. Pay a little more and get AIG, Allianz or someone else.
Our Generali policy was a cruise in Tahiti in March. I could not get anyone to answer the phone in 25 calls. When I did get a response to an email after 2 weeks of trying, they said I had to pay 40% more to change the dates to next year for exactly the same coverage with no changes other than the date.
AIG easily switched the policy dates for another trip I had planned so they are by far the better company.

GENERALI is a rip-off and InsuremyTrips shouldn't even show them as an option.

After a so many problems trying to file a claim getting an error messages and no phone responses my claim was processed and denied. Claiming it was not covered. It was trip delayed. The trip was delayed 3 days

      According to your policy I was suppose to be reimbursed for cost of cancellation that was not reimbursed. Read your policy. Your company apologized after months of ignoring promised me a credit to my card then never did. .

We filed a claim on 3/21/20. My husband hurt his back and was not able to travel to Chile as planned. We got an email on 3/30/20 that we would get another email when our claim person was assigned. We haven't heard anything since. We tried calling and you get an answering machine. I realize they have a lot of claims due to Covid but ours isn't and it is 6 weeks and they said they would respond in 30 days. We are very disappointed. We have bought trip insurance for years and this is the first time we had to use it.
