I was disappointed to find out I was only being reimbursed $300.00 per day. The cost of hotel and meals was over $1,600.00 for the three (3) days our cruise returned early.

We didn't go on our trip because our hosts asked us not to come, (because of the Covid-19 virus). We applied for a refund from EVA Air one month before the flight, but they kept $200.00 from each ticket for a total of $600.00. It doesn't seem that this insurance will compensate us for the additional loss.

As stated in our policy documents, our plans only reimburse for non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if you need to cancel your trip for a covered reason. It is important that you review your Description of Coverage, which are available before and after your purchase. We live in Minnesota and travel frequently. Between the changing weather, goofy government regulations, goofier yet Trump travel wims, and then add in the periodic airline hiccup, we have had to file travel claims in the past. This was the first time we used Insuremytrip travel insurance. The coverages and pricing seemed fair, but our trip went off without a hitch and never had to file a claim. Won't know for sure how good this service is until we have a claim. But the process seemed very straight forward and simple.
