I have bought several policies over many years and never had a claim. Recently I had to cancel a cruise due to medical reasons. CSA handled the claim very efficiently (although somewhat slow) and paid me for my entire loss.

We have used the CSA Travel Protection Custom Luxe plan for several of our trips and have always had great peace of mind knowing that it has great medical evacuation coverage in case of emergency.. Thankfully, we have not had to file any claims.

Even though this policy cannot insure a traveler who does not reside in the US, it can provide protection if you need to cancel your trip due to your traveling companion's covered cancellation.
The CSA policy defines a traveling companion as "a person who, during the Trip, will accompany you in the same accommodations." This definition does not specify that your traveling companion must reside in the US for coverage to apply.
