For people traveling outside their home country but not visiting the United States, the Seven Corners Liaison Travel Basic plan offers medical coverage and emergency services on a trip up to 364 days in length. Options include a medical limit up to $5,000,000, a variable deductible, and hazardous activity coverage. This plan does have a pre-existing condition lookback period of 3 years.

I purchased medical insurance only for our cruise. We are insured by Medicare and they don't pay outside the US. Several days into the cruise I was diagnosed with Pneumonia in the ships medical center. The treatment I received over three days cost nearly $9000. That charge was put on my credit card. I left the ship with all of the records of treatment and they were also emailed to me at home so I was able to submit the claim on line on March 6. I was told that it usually takes 4-6 weeks to process a claim. Fast forward 9 weeks and I am still waiting for them to begin processing. My account on their website indicates that I don't have a claim. Over the nine weeks I have spoken to at least 5 company representatives all of whom told me they are running behind. On April 9 I was told that my claim would be "expedited to claims". Today, May 9 I was told my claim would be "escalated to claims".
At this point in time I can't recommend this company. I will update if anything happens to change this opinion.
UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW.
On June 17 Seven Corners reimbursed me for the full amount of my of my claim minus the $1000. deductible that I had selected. Roughly 100 days after the claim was submitted. After I posted the original review I was contacted by a customer advocate from insuremytrip .com. She took over contacting Seven Corner and it was only a short time until the claim was settled. So all in all Seven Corners settled the claim to my satisfaction and Insuremytrip truly supports their customers
At this point in time I can't recommend this company. I will update if anything happens to change this opinion.

I did not mean to indicate that I would not recommend Seven Corners. At the end of the situation I would recommend them. They did what they were supposed to do. It just took longer than they said it would at first. So I do recommend them but Ii you buy insurance from them or possibly from anyone don't plan on a fast turnaround. Figure about 90 days.Jul 11,2019

Fortunately we didn't have to use the insurance but it was a good feeling to know that we were covered if anything would have happened. It always seems expensive if you don't use the insurance but the fact that you don't have to worry during your trip that makes it worth it. It was easy to buy and select the exact coverage we needed.

My tour company offered travel insurance but it was expensive. Seven Corners provided a plan at a better cost that gave excellent coverage. I didn't need it, thank goodness, but the security of having it was well worth it. Thanks.

coverage for everything I needed at reasonable cost. I would recommend that everyone leaving country get coverage because you never know...but I had no reason to file a claim

The agent found the only available coverage for us when we did not use a travel package or cruise line. I'm glad we didn't have to use it but it was reassuring to have.
