My partner and I bought the Travel Basic plan never thinking we would need it...but then I was unexpectedly in a bicycle accident that precluded me from travel. With the mounting medical bills I kept my fingers crossed that we could get our money back that we had already sunk into our (already belated) honeymoon without any hassle. And lo & behold, that's exactly what happened! We submitted all documents that we had and within 10 days of them receiving our claim & supporting documents, we had our checks in hand, no further questions asked. I would highly recommend Travelex Travel Basic and will be sure to purchase it again when we finally get to that honeymoon!

Our flight was delayed 8 hours, however I did not file a claim for expeses incurred for meals because the carrier provided breakfast and lunch and the cost would have been minimal. It was good knowing I had insurance had I needed it.

It's a good feeling to know that you have insurance in case you need it. On the other hand, we tried to make a claim several years ago and it was not accepted, so I have mixed feelings. But, yes, I would get this plan again for another trip.
