Thankfully I did not need insurance. It is impossible to rate a product I did not use. However, I will say the site is easy to use, it's very easy to get human assistance, and prices are cheaper than what is offered by travel companies.

All plans are too expensive and complicated. You buy a plan which list coverage that you need and when you review your final plan it list many reasons why you will not be covered under certain conditions.

We can see from your policy history that you have been a long-term and loyal customer of InsureMyTrip since 2008. As you have noticed, Comprehensive policy premiums, which are rated based on the age of the traveler, his/her trip cost and the length of the trip, have increased over the years. Since we offer plans from more than 25 of the leading providers of travel insurance, the pricing also varies by plan. Generally, the more expensive plans offer the broadest benefits with some exceptions.
Travel insurance plans are "named peril" policies which means only those perils/hazards that are specifically listed in the policy are covered. In addition, all plans have their "exclusions and limitations" which may affect your coverage. Since policy terms and conditions vary from plan to plan and are also state-specific, this does create discrepancies in coverage between plans.
