When circumstances required me to use the insurance, the staff at April Travel handled my phone calls and e-mails promptly, professionally, politely, and kindly. The requirements to file a claim were clearly explained, and forms were emailed to me immediately thereafter. Upon submission, the paperwork was addressed quickly, and a check was received by me in less than 30 days. With other events occurring in life, it was a relief to have our insurance claim handled so expertly by such a reputable and reliable company. Our direct flight from Charlotte, NC to St John USVI in July was delayed almost 24 hours due to a mechanical issue. American Airlines provided us meal vouchers and a hotel room.
Our claim to Travel Insured covered one day of our Jeep rental, one missed night in our villa on St John, and made up the difference in our meal cost. Was easy to file the claim and quick processing. Glad we had the trip protection! Made missing one night of an expensive vacation a little easier.

I'm glad I purchased it, even though I don't think I will need to file a claim. I became ill while in Berlin and required being seen and treated in an Emergency Clinic there. The cost was so reasonable (compared to The United States' medical care) that I simply paid it happily. I did need to return home early, but the airlines worked with me to exchange my flight reservations without additional cost and the remainder of the hotels in the other cities have graciously begun to process my refunds. Had these not been the cases, I would have needed the medical coverage I chose and the trip Interruption/cancellation which was included in my policy. Gratefully, I'm fine without it.

I had a trip delay and needed to file a claim. While there's a lot of documentation required, the claim was processed extremely quickly. Nationwide cut the check three business days after I emailed them the documentation and reimbursed all of my stated losses. Make sure you save all your receipts and any evidence of your loss. I wouldn't hesitate to use Nationwide again.
