AXA Assistance USA Gold
Covered the trip to go to Fiji centering on a cruise. The boat was washed on the reef in a storm so that part was cancelled without reimbursement to us. We filed to recover what we lost on the cruise and you did not pay. We chose to go to Fiji anyway, without the cruise, and had to buy a NEW policy from you to cover the trip. We had no need to use that second policy so i suppose it "worked."

As many, many folks have said on this site, price seemed fair for the coverage. But having never used it, I can't speak to how reliable Nationwide is in paying claims.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Nice to know we had this plan but luckily we did not need to use it. We did do some hiking and biking so wanted to be sure we had extra medical coverage. We didn't have any flight disruptions so we were lucky we didn't need to use that portion of the insurance either.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
We mainly get the insurance for the medical aspects of the policy. Evacuation etc. luckily, we never have had to use it. Like any kind of insurance, it provides a certain level of peace of mind.

InsureandGo Global Silver
The plan fits the lives of seniors on Medicare plus supplemental. We purchased the insurance several months before our trip. Due to death in family, we cancelled the trip and we were able to recoup travel expenses but we were not permitted to cancel and happy for reimbursement of paid medical insurance. Medical insurance can only be cancelled within a few days of payment. Consequently, we will not purchase insurance until a day or two before our next trip so if something unexpected occurs, we can request reimbursement. We would have been happy with a credit as we are currently planning another out of the country trip and need medical coverage.
