I bought a Comprehensive Plan. However, it does not cover changed itineraries. Nor does it cover disappointed associated with the changed ports.

    For future reference, InsureMyTrip does offer plans that contain Itinerary Change coverage, and we also have cruise specific products underwritten Nationwide which offer Itinerary Change - Port of Call, Itinerary Change - Inconvenience, and Itinerary Change - Pre-Paid Excursion benefits. The thing about good insurance is not needing it. I had good peace of mind. The proof of excellent insurance is when you make a claim and how it is handled. I hope I never need excellent insurance, but excellent piece of mind if much better.

I had to cancel this cruise due to medical reasons with my wife and they were easy to work with and reimbursed us our claimed amount without any problem. Cancellation costs were over $8,000 dollars and they gladly paid us promptly/ I'm so glad we had the AXA insurance.

GeoBlue Trekker Essential
We've never filed a claim, so we haven't had to test that crucially important dimension of all insurance policies, but the coverage appears to be what we seek: medical evacuation from a foreign country in the event of a medical emergency. The medical coverages are second-tier after our primary insurance, which is our preference. The cost of the policy seems reasonable, and is, of course, much less than policies with first-tier medical status.

My son was going on a one-month "high adrenaline" trip to New Zealand. We needed a plan that would cover such activities as skydiving, bungee jumping and scuba diving. This plan offered an optional rider for high-risk activities and the cost was affordable.
