The large majority of comprehensive policies provide a Travel Delay benefit if you are delayed en route to or from the Covered Trip for 6 or more hours or 12 or more hours due a covered Hazard. In the future, please call us at 800-487-4722 so we can direct you to the policies that require a 3 or more hour or a 5 or more hour delay for the Travel Delay benefit. Please keep in mind, the covered reasons for Travel Delay may vary slightly from plan to plan. The Travel Delay benefit typically covers reasonable additional expenses such as hotel accommodations, meals, local transportation, and telephone calls.

I did not use the MEDEX TravMed Abroad plan. However, next time I will add on other important factors like delays, lost luggage, etc. The person that I called at InsureMyTrip to get the plan prior to going to Scotland was extremely pleasant and helpful. This does make a big difference.
