While we're blessed not to need to file a claim, it was very reassuring to know that had something occurred, we were covered for all possibilities. A fellow traveler fell and broke her hip, needed immediate surgery in France, and her travel insurance made sure she got all necessary treatment. I'm so glad I had this travel insurance in place. A few days before our trip I was diagnosed with a rare cancer. This was a complete shock as I was in great health. I remember telling the agent that I'd have to be dead not to take this trip, it was such an important event for us, a real "bucket list" thing. Fortunately, my doctors all agreed that taking the trip was perfectly fine and we could deal with the needed surgery afterwards. The peace of mind this policy gave me was invaluable, even though I did not end up needing to make a claim.

I did not have to file a claim on this trip. However I did file a claim with this company on a previous trip and it was handled easily and quickly. I had great confidence that if I needed to use the plan again I would get great customer service!

Very dissatisfied with the Nationwide coverage. They used a "fine print" detail to deny my claim. The travel company I used closed its business and my trip was canceled. But the company has not filed for bankruptcy and that was the excuse used to deny the claim. I provided ample documentation of the business closure but that was insufficient to approve the claim. I would never recommend Nationwide to anyone.
