There was value with the coverage plan and the terms with the cost paid. I did have to file a medical claim for reimbursement when we got back home, and the process took longer than what was initially reported to me. I was told there would be a disposition in 20 calendar days, however it took 90 calendar days. Every few times I called their customer service number, I was told that ‘there was a high number of claims to be processed in the summer months’, and to wait. Slightly unsettling to hear, however the claim was indeed processed accurately...in 3 months.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
My flight was cancelled for no reason. I had to rebook the entire international trip. I filed a claim to get reimbursed for my rebooking fee; submitted the paperwork and received a call from the insurance company in 4 days that I should be expecting a check in the mail and I
shortly after that I received my money back. Thank you!

I filed a claim for an interrupted vacation due to a cancelled flight. It took 4 days for it to be assigned to an adjuster but once that happened my out of pocket expenses were reimbursed promptly.

I am happy to report that we didn't need to file a claim for this coverage. Insurance provides peace of mind and a safety net in the event that something unforeseen happen to prevent you from traveling. Insure My Trip offers good coverage at a reasonable price. WorldTrips Atlas International
Claims submission is not intuitive or well explained on the site. I also received no confirmation email of submission, and had no idea if it went through correctly or not. There needs to be a clearer explanation of the process and precisely what documentation is needed, and what to expect next. I felt like I was winging it.

    Thank you very much for your accurate comments on filing a claim. The process is not intuitive. Although we include a section on our website for "Travel Insurance Policy & Claims Information", InsureMyTrip presents generalized and not company specific information.

    Travelers should always refer to their Certificate of Insurance for specific details on filing a claim. Your Tokio Marine HCC claim information started on page 5 of your Certificate of Insurance where they provided you with the steps in the process along with a list of required documents.

    Unfortunately most claims departments do not provide you with a confirmation of receipt. Instead the providers refer claimants to their website where you can freely access necessary forms and your claim status. However, you will be pleased to hear that providers are listening to their policyholders' concerns as guidance to improving the claims process. Providers recognize that the process needs improvement and take your suggestions seriously.
