GeoBlue Voyager Essential
I had no need to use it, & the process of signing up was next to impossible. I could not do it on line. Needed a Customer Representative, to finally sign up after 2 frustrating days on the computer.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
Clark Howard recommends you insure your major trips, and this trip was certainly in that category. Other travel insurance companies were significantly more expensive, and we were happy to find Generali. These things are expensive, but so was the trip, and therefore, we felt it was a good purchase. Good customer service the day we called to purchase. Good "What to do if you need us" kind of follow up by company prior to our trip so we were well prepared before we left if we needed them. We are grateful the trip went as planned and we didn't need to call! Recommended.

International Medical Group iTravelInsured Travel LX
We had a major issue with IMG and InsureMyTrip. As we incurred additional travel expenses and requested increased coverage we received confirmations for the increases from InsureMyTrip but IMG was not billing my credit card due to some error in their systems. It took months to get this straightened out and then only with my constant intervention. I don't think InsureMyTrip was as helpful as it could have been in assisting me to resolve this with IMG.

Generali Global Assistance Preferred
I had no claim per se, but needed help when my traveling companion lost his passport. Luckily I had a working phone with me so I called to ask "now what?" I was terrified because not only might I miss the cruise, it would be hard to get a replacement because I'm changing locations almost daily. The representative I spoke with seemed to be unsure - as if this the first time someone has lost their passport. She said she would call back with more information. Later she did but only said "I found out you need to locate a US embassy. There is more information I'm entering in your record so you should call us back for it." Why in the world did she say I had to make another call to get it??? Is she charged for the length of her phone calls...or monitored by how many calls she takes in a day....or what? The only good news is that the following day the passport was found and turned into the lost and found at the train station.
