Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
I unfortunately had to file a claim.
Generali was very clear on what needed to be provided.
I spoke to one of their customer service representatives
who was most helpful in clarifying a point.
I telephoned in two times. The first time I called, i believe it was over a weekend, I waited on hold about an hour + and eventually hung up.
I had better luck the 2nd time, as I recall I only waited 15 minutes. They do offer a different number if you are traveling and it's urgent you speak to a representative.
I followed their requirements exactly when I submitted my paperwork and after about 10 days I received a check for the full amount I claimed.
Excellent experience.

Biggest scam ever. I’ve now informed others that travel insurance is very limiting. Explained that even with CDC concerns in regards to flight travel to Asian countries, I would’ve ONLY been covered had I traveled and become quarantined....false securities is all travel insurance is.

We have used these insurance plans many times and even have 2 more trips coming up covered by INSUREMYTRIP but never filed a claim before. And yet we have been waiting many weeks for a very small claim we filed in January to be paid. When we call, we are told that all of our information has not been received although we have sent everything asked for. If this case is not resolved soon, we will have to resort to Social Media to alert unsuspecting people about the total disregard of clients' claims. No one I have spoken to who has used other insurers has had the problems we have been having. Be assured that we will not let this drop, which is probably what this company is hoping we do. Maybe the Better Business Bureau should be contacted to help us which we will do if this goes on more than another week.

With the c.virus spreading, and ships being cancelled/quarantined, having this insurance was a stress reliever. Thankfully, we had NO need to file a claim, but comforting to know we had options if we needed them. Trip to Italy coming up (now THEY're in the c.virus news!) so will be getting coverage through Generali again.

We didn't have to use the policy for anything but felt at ease knowing we had the coverage behind us if needed. We do recommend insure my trip to all of our friends and family and also Nationwide Cruise insurance for our cruising friends.
