Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
Never had to use insurance so true value is unknown. Based off coverage seems to be better option to coverage offered by cruise line. But one negative is no mobile app for use in emergency. All we had was hard copy print out.

We had to cancel our long-anticipated trip due my wife's poor health, so we filed a claim. Review of the claim took two full months, during which I received multiple requests for the same documents I had already sent, because the people processing these don't bother reading them carefully. Despite a clear record of when and why my wife received care for her condition, our medical claim was rejected. Fortunately we'd paid extra for "cancel for any reason" coverage, and that was applied, otherwise we would have lost everything. So the ONLY aspect of this insurance that's worth a penny is CFAR; the rest is a waste of money (and time).

i tried making a claim because the airline delayed our baggage and caused us to miss our flight but when i tried making a claim the woman i was assigned took hours to get back to me with new flight times and the prices were bad too.

I had to cancel my trip do to health reasons. I contacted the plan to find out what they needed to get my money back from the flight. they told me I had 30 days after the flight to apply for the ins. It turned out that Delta gave me ecredit on my flight that I have to book by Nov. When I called them again they said I could have extended the ins before the flight but I was too late to do it. I wish someone had advised me before it was to late to do it.

We purchased trip insurance and fortunately did not require its use. Insurance is for peace of mind and emergencies. The purchase was easy. The policy provided one less thing to worry about.

The plan we chose covered the potential events we were concerned about on our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia—mainly being able to be evac’d out of the country in the event of a medical emergency and receiving any necessary medical care. We did not, however, have any medical emergencies arise, so we didn’t experience how “good” the coverage was. But having coverage gave us peace of mind.
