A total disaster and misrepresentation of the services to be provided. My wife (72 yers old) broke her arm in Croatia. Before going to the hospital I called emergency number provided to find out what I needed to get from the hospital. Got the itemized bill requested. After I'm back at my hotel call emergency number again to give an update of her condition and get assistance in alternative travel back home. Was told I needed additional paperwork from hospital which is an hour away. No assistance was to be given until I had the proper forms they would email to me filled out by the hospital and attending MD. This was ridiculous. We were left to make our own way home without your help. Not once did any representative even ask how my wife was doing. At a time of crisis you were no where to be found.

We did contact On Call International (On Call), our travel assistance provider, on your behalf for a review of your wife’s case. On Call confirmed that within the first phone call there was reference to needing a medical report, a fit to fly form, and itemized receipt, along with information about assisting with medical expenses, should the need arise while you were on your trip. On Call also advised us that they will use your feedback to help make this process smoother and clearer in the future.
It is important to remember that certain paperwork is required for On Call to assist in getting travelers home as they need to ensure that the doctor has confirmed that travelers are fit to fly for safety reasons.

C&F Travel Insured InternationalWorldwide Trip Protector Lite
Due to a medical emergency the day I was to leave, I was unable to make my trip. I contacted Travel Insured International right away to learn what information they needed for me to be reimbursed for my trip cost. I sent in all the information and waited ... and waited ... and waited. I got no reply that they had even received my documentation. I called them and was told they had received it, but that it would take up to 15 business days to be processed. I had already been most of that. I called back in a few days and was told they were waiting on information from the agency I purchased my trip from. I contacted the agency, and they had NOT received any request for information. Another call back to C & F TII and I told them the agency had not received a request. A few days later, the agency contacted me that they had received a request with a plan number, but no name was attached to the request and they had to ask me if that was my claim. They promptly sent the information to C & F TII and copied me on it. I contacted C & F TII again to see if the information had reached my file. I was told it had not and that it might take 5 - 10 business days for it to do so. I started calling back every other day to check on my claim. I guess they finally got irritated with me and just processed my claim and sent me the money. It is ashamed that I had to do all the follow-up to make this happen. My airline miles were credited back to me with just a phone call (10 minutes). Royal Caribbean credited back three excursions that I paid for in advance, but did not take (because I didn't make the trip) within 3 days. Another small policy I had through American Airlines with Global Alianz responded within 2 days and made a payment immediately. I was very unhappy with the service I received from C and F Travel Insured.

I LOST MY LUGGAGE AND EQUIPMENT THE FIRST DAY. I CALLED THIS COMPANY AND EMAILED THEM AND DIDNT HEAR BACK!!!!!!!!!! 4 DAYS LATER I FINALLY GOT SOMEONE ON THE PHONE WHO WAS RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL. THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE 3 TO 5 DAYS TO PROCESS A CLAIM AND THEY WOULDN'T COVER EVERYTHING I LOST!!!!!!!!!!@@??????? I WILL NEVER USE THEM OR TRUST YOUR COMPANY TO RECOMMEND TO ANY OF OUR TRAVELERS

Generali Global Assistance is sorry to hear about the circumstances surrounding your experience, and for not meeting your expectations. The company wants their customers to choose the correct policy to fit their needs so they stress the importance of reviewing your coverage details via the sample Description of Coverage/
Insurance Policy that’s provided at the time of purchase. They also encourage you to call (800) 348-9505 or email [email protected] with additional questions.
Although the plan you purchased includes a variety of covered items under which Generali can provide coverage if you experience a loss, there is unfortunately no coverage for the loss of a laptop as they are excluded from coverage as stated In your coverage details.
Our cruise was impacted by hurricane Dorian, like many others I'm sure. Not only was filing a claim easy, it was handled in a timely fashion considering it was a hurricane event and they paid very well. I am impressed with this company and am using them for our next cruise. The premium is VERY reasonable considering the coverage and the peace of mind. Highly recommend.
