We had our important documents stolen and we could not continue our trip. We were disappointed to learn that this was not covered by trip interruption or cancelation. We lost almost $1000 on hotel cancellation fees and received $0 for our insurance. Very disappointing and we’ll look for better alternatives in the future.

That means that the event that causes your trip to be cancelled or interrupted must be a listed reason in your policy certificate.
