Insure My Trip is the only travel insurance I purchase for all of my trips because the staff is great, make fabulous suggestions, and it is easy to do. Like I can purchase by phone to ensure I get the exact coverage I need as I do mainly adventure and third-world country trips. This was the first time I took out trip insurance--so I was winging it. I did compare several companies and their offerings. Yours seemed reasonable and straight forward. I did call customer service and they answered my questions -- eased my concerns. Did not need to file any claims as the Trip was pretty un-eventful from an issue perspective. Why buy trip insurance when you are not going out of the US? Seemed like a fair question to me, but due to the possibility of my work needing me to stay at the last second, I went ahead and got it for a trip to Alaska. Little did I know that a medical event would occur on day two that required multiple ER visits and the need to miss expensive boat excursions.
The whole thing maxed out the deductible on my high-deductible health care plan incurring thousands of dollars of losses not covered by my regular insurance.
This policy covered all my major out of pocket losses and while the trip itself was a loss, we were saved from paying double the cost in unexpected medical losses, too.
They took a few weeks longer than expected to process the claim, but they got it in the end and that is what counts.

All good except i found out that luggage or cloths that we have to discarded due to bed bugs from the hotel was not covered. Hotel refunded room money only.
