I always purchase travel insurance because you never know what can come up to alter your plans. I also liked the reasonable premium and medical evacuation coverage that was offered by American Commerce Insurance Company.

I wasn't sure that the type of trip interruption would be covered. All agents were very human and helpful. It was a little hard to phone because of hours and time differences to New Zealand, and to find the right number to call, but once I got a person, everything went smoothly. They actually worked out the cost with conversions and I received a little more than I expected. I would use them again.

Good to have a medical plan while traveling outside the of the United States, since Medicare does not cover outside of the U.S. Have used InsureMyTrip for several years when I go to Canada, as I do every summer around this time period.
