I don't see any reason trip insurance has to be as expensive as it is. I only bought it because the country to which I traveled has it as a requirement. That said, your website made it easy to shop and compare. But all the prices are way too high!

    We are very happy to hear that you were pleased with our website. We would also trust that you will not be surprised to hear that the number one complaint would probably be pricing.

    Your Comprehensive plan premium was based on the age of the traveler, trip cost and the length of the trip. Your premium was 6.61% of your total trip cost which would match the industry standard.

    That being said, you did an excellent job in selecting a policy since the AXA Gold plan included 100,000 USD in primary medical coverage. Despite the premium, you would have been very thankful for the coverage if you were unfortunately ill or injured.

For medical reasons, our trip had to be cancelled. RoamRight was clear on documentation needed to file an on-line claim. We were thorough in what was submitted. They notified us of status of claim. Within several weeks, we had a check covering all that we had pre-paid for our trip. Very satisfied and would use again

DON'T BUY THEIR POLICY!! This is the worst experience we've ever had filing claim. They never reply. You called them, they will have you to call back in 7 to 10 days, again and again.... They successfully wore us out, eventually. We gave up.

    Upon receiving your comments, we did assign an "Anytime Advocate" who was able to assist you with the claim. Unfortunately, the 244 USD medical bill was under the 250 USD deductible, so you did not receive any reimbursement.

    As you indicated, "I understand we won't get any money back. Only wish they can handle it better. It's the worse experience we've ever had with any insurance company."

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
Since I did not have a claim, my satisfaction cannot be judged by this coverage. It is when I have a claim and I would be covered that satisfaction would be experienced. Now I see I must answer the "satisfaction" portion of the survey in order to submit the survey. I am not dissatisfied. This questions is misleading.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
We always purchase the travel insurance with all our travel trip outside of the US to keep our mind free of worry and fully enjoy our trip. We have use Insure my trip in the pass with several different insurance company and very happy with it service.

Arch RoamRight Elite
On the way back, I encountered road closures due to a snow storm. I called Roam Right to confirm if I would be covered for a hotel stay. I explained that I just landed, was walking off the plane and on my way to customs. The person wanted me to go to a website. I explained again my inability to do so. His response, "All I can do is give you the information. It's up to you to do with it what you want." This is extremely poor customer service in a situation where I needed an immediate response. I asked for a manager and he put me on hold and a manager never came after being on hold for 15 minutes. I finally hung up and had to call Insure My Trip to get an answer to my question. I will never use this insurance company again as I shudder to think of how they will handle my issue if I was in a real emergency situation in a foreign country.
