I chose the 'cancel for any reason' option, and when I contacted a representative by phone, I was told my claim was valid, and would be paid. Once I was assigned a (different) representative for email contact, she told me my claim was not covered. I persisted and asked to have a claim form sent to me so I could file. In the end, it was, in fact, covered. If I had not been persistent, I would have lost hundreds of dollars.

HTH Worldwide Trip Protector Classic
This was probably the easiest claims process I've ever used (and I've used several). I just went online, pulled down the list of needed documents (no surprises there), then scanned the docs and sent them in an email. 7 days later they sent me an email showing the claim settlement, and a few days later I got the check in the mail. No need to call during business hours; no need to ask for clarification on anything.

I submitted a claim for $250 in medical & pharmacy expenses, and they paid everything except the $6 Uber ride to the doctor (and when they denied that, they sent me the language from the policy explaining why).

Their policy was slightly more expensive than another company's, but I think it was worth it for the ease and speed of filing the claim.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold
We had to cancel the trip due to a medical reason. The claim processing was very easy and seamless. Got the check within 2 weeks. The rep even called to alert us that the check was in the mail. Awesome service!

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
Though we did not file a claim, several times along our journey to Alaska, my sister and I said out loud to each other, "I'm glad we have emergency evacuation insurance," when we were hiking out to a glacier, or were viewing bears, or even when we heard people on the cruise ship had had a heart attack. I never leave home without it anymore, just for that unseen possibility, after I heard what an air-ambulance can cost in outlying areas.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
This trip insurance policy proved to be a waste of money. I had used this company before, but this was the first time I had ever tried to make a claim. I had a dental emergency and was unable to take my connecting flight home due to the cabin pressure making the pain unbearable on the first leg of my journey home. I rang Customer Service who indicated that I would be covered under the interrupt for any reason clause of the policy for my family and I staying in a hotel overnight and meals. I immediately went to the ER and was given antibiotics and an injection for the pain as it was the evening and all dentists were shut, and I ended up seeing an emergency dentist the next day. I had a fractured tooth and jaw bone infection. Under the dental listing on my policy it stated that I would be covered up to $750.

Well nearly two weeks later after submitting loads of paper work and receipts that were requested my claims were denied. Guess what, apparently interrupt for any reason didn't actually cover my emergency overnight accommodation and meals at all, their agent had been misinformed. I was very lucky in that my flight carrier changed my flights at no extra charge so I was able to resume my travel home at no extra expense. Then apparently dental only covers 'natural teeth' and as the tooth that started it all had a crown on it was not covered. FYI, any tooth that has had any type of work on it, filling etc. is no longer considered a natural tooth so isn't covered. I paid more for what I had hoped would be a good policy, but in the end it literally didn't cover me for anything at all when i needed it.
