Thank goodness we didn't need to file any claims. I do wish we had gotten the trip interruption coverage since a cancelled ferry trip cost us over $600.

We never travel anymore without buying a plan. In all the years of traveling, we only had to use the insurance once and it was worth it. I wouldn't leave home without an insurance plan. I tell ALL my friends that but some people are very short sighted.

MEDEX Take Me Home - Single-Trip
Thankfully, we did not need to avail ourselves of this insurance. So no experience in how it all works. But I really was looking for coverage "just in case," remembering an experience with my mother-in-law which required expensive evacuation.
