I did not need to use any part of my Generali Global Assistance travel insurance policy. It was a background comfort to know I had this insurance policy and for my group trips abroad. I always buy travel insurance as soon as I have paid the initial tour deposit. One never knows what might happen in the intervening 12-18 months, so best to have brought a comprehensive policy.

We wanted to make sure we were covered on our 3 week trip. Fortunately, we had a great trip and all went well. We did not need to use this insurance. The web site was easy and all items were covered and easily understood. I would certainly use AIG again or recommend them to others. Had to file a claim due to my flight being cancelled. Got back 82% of my total claim with the remaining 18% not being reimbursed as that was a cost that would have been incurred anyways (and I figured as much). Took 2 weeks from filing the claim to getting reimbursed. Also provided was an explanation of what part of my claim was getting reimbursed (with sometimes a why). Overall, this was an easy and good experience (especially for my first claim). Would recommend.

I did not have to use this coverage so can not comment on how good or bad it was. I guess this is a good thing.
I wish there was some type of coverage for people who travel several times a year that is more reasonable. A yearly policy? If there is such coverage please let me know.

Thank you for your comments. InsureMyTrip does not offer annual Comprehensive plans which would include Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. We only offer the single trip Comprehensive plans such as the Generali Global Assistance Preferred plan. However, we do offer multi-trip Travel Medical and Emergency Medical Evacuation plans that are annual policies providing international coverage for multiple trips during that year.
