Bought policy for peace of mind. Didn’t have to use but it was there.When trips to Cuba were stopped by US government,we were worried about trip cancellation coverage but our trip was grandfathered so no problem.Didn’t contact Nationwide so don’t know how that would have turned out.

During my trip, my passport was stolen on my way to the airport for my departing flight. As a result, I had to incur costs for another hotel overnight stay, as well as trips to the Police Station to report the theft and costs for an emergency travel card and a replacement passport. Filing my claim was simple and straightforward. It is important to retain all original receipts for claimed expenses as these must be submitted along with the claim form and the police report. Customer service agents were extremely efficient and assured a response within 15 business days following receipt of the claim with all supporting documentation. I was very happy to receive a reimbursement check for $315 which covered all my submitted expenses. This was the first time I ever submitted a travel claim and I was very pleased with the process and the outcome. I highly recommend Travelex Travel Select Plan and will purchase this insurance again for future trips.

Thank you for your review. There are two types of cancellation coverage: Trip Cancellation and Cancel for Any Reason. Trip cancellation is a set of covered reasons the insurance provider allows you to cancel for 100% reimbursement up until you leave your home. Cancel for Any Reason allows you to be able to cancel your trip for any reason of your choosing but the most you can get back is 75% and you have to cancel two or more days prior to your departure and meet other conditions. The C&F Travel Insure Worldwide Trip Protector Lite and Worldwide Trip Protector policies do not offer Cancel for Any Reason it does include Trip Cancellation, but the Worldwide Trip Protector Plus plan can offer both types of cancellation coverage's, state specific.
