I could only recommend the plan based on the fair price paid. Being that I was fortunate enough not to have the need to file a claim I cannot comment on any further issues. I will say the description of benefits was well described in the plan and can only hope that the company provides what it claims without any fine print issues, which normally negate claims afterwards.

I can't verify how good the service was if I had to use it but under the circumstances I was traveling with peace of mind that they were there and I saw their offices while I was in Europe if I actually needed them! I would use their services again!

We had to cancel our trip to Hawaii due to medical issues, after purchasing non-refundable resort and air costs.
Thankfully, both the resort and Delta happily rescheduled our trip to later this year with no penalty; when we contacted Genrali to move our trip insurance to the new date, we were informed the price would now be $600, twice the original cost.
Customer service gave us the option to cancel the trip insurance through a process they call "exceptions," in which they will refund the original cost if provided evidence that the trip had been rescheduled with no penalties. I sent all documentation, including emails from the resort and changed plane reservations that clearly showed no penalty fee charged. Not good enough for Generali.
I guess I should have just filed a claim for the $5,000 trip cost, instead of trying to be the "good guy" and change the reservations to a time when we can travel. This is why we can't have nice things.
Live and learn. Would never buy trip insurance through this company again.

Trip insurance, like most insurance, is philosophical. We had a bit invested in our trip and knew that cancellation would cost us everything we had spent. Any time we spend over a certain amount we can't afford to lose, we add insurance. We don't want to cancel a trip and not be able to afford rescheduling it. It is worth the extra cost for us.

FORTUNATELTY, we had no need to file a claim. Our trip with Odysseys Unlimited went flawlessly.
