We never had a need to use the plan. However, we do think that our circumstances in obtaining the plan maybe of interest to you.
We did not get the plan because of our personal travel needs. Instead, we got it out of concern that our two offspring, which have special needs might require us to cancel or interrupt our trip. Thus, we think that because there a certainly other travelers that have similar issues as us you might consider increasing or modifying the plan(s) to increase awareness to other parents concerning this issue. By doing so it may help both you and others.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. You raise a very interesting point as to making people more aware of preeminent scenarios that some companies cover, that other companies may not. We advise that customers call when they have a particular concern they would like coverage for. My wife and I were pleased with the price of the plan. We were a little bit surprised that our trip was not covered in case we cancelled our trip to Thailand due to the coup in the country in June 2014. If more regular updates reminding of us items such as this as they pertain to our insurance, that would be great.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. To protect your trip cost for events related to military, political, or civil unrest, we recommend Cancel For Any Reason. Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) is an optional benefit available on about 12 different policies, usually for an additional charge. CFAR has a few eligibility criteria:
1) It is only available within 10-21 days of your initial trip payment (depending on the policy).
2) You MUST insure 100% of your pre-paid and non-refundable trip cost.
3) Cancellation of your travel arrangements must occur more than 2 days before your scheduled departure date.
Cancel for any reason returns between 70-75% depending on the policy.Jun 23,2014

We are at an age where we don't feel comfortable traveling abroad without some significant medical evacuation coverage. Their options for this coverage suit our purposes at a reasonable cost. Luckily, we have never had to file a claim, so can't speak to that process but do like their offerings and comparisons amongst plans.

It's a don't leave home without it. I would never go on vacation without insurance. Vacations are too costly nowadays. This plan was very reasonable in price.
