I bought this plan for a friend who was to travel with me. He got sick and needed surgery a few weeks before we needed to leave and couldn't travel. I contacted the company before we left and was told that it would be no problem and I could file when I returned. I filed on my return and sent in the claim. I was kept informed of the claim process and approval. The check was sent over night in less than one week. Great service and helpful people!

We purchased the plan for peace of mind in case anything came up. Luckily, our trip went smoothly and we didn't need to use the insurance. We have never purchased, nor used trip insurance before, so we have no experience in this area.

Since I didn't have any 'incidences' and I didn't file a claim, I can't rate my Insureand Go Global Platinum Insurance plan other than to say it is always a 'peace of mind' to have Trip Insurance prior to travel.

The plan itself was reasonably priced and had good coverage compared to others. I had done a fair amount of research, and this plan was the one that seemed highest rated and most affordable. I was relieved when I found it, and I had a sense of confidence with it in place. Since I didn't have any need to use it, because my trip went well, I don't really know how to rate any service that might be provided.

We were concerned only about medical insurance. My husband is on Medicare and couldn't get a straight answer about whether the supplement would cover any injuries. My insurance company was vague, said it would cover 'emergencies'. This policy just bought peace of mind, and as we hiked down a long slippery path in a tiny town in Italy, I kept thinking about how easy it would be to slip and be injured. In Venice, we walked over a million bridges with steps, and the same thought came to mind.
