I recommend Nationwide Travel Insurance. I had to file a claim due to Delta Airlines damaging my luggage and Nationwide processed the claim and reimbursed me for the luggage. I will be using Nationwide Travel Insurance for all my vacations.

I tested positive for Covid before our return flight. This was over a year ago when a negative test was still required. My policy covered the additional hotel and food that and other expenses that we incurred for the subsequent week. It took quite a while to get the refund, but that didn’t bother me as long as I got it. I was very pleased with my coverage.

Took two and a half to process my claim which was caused by the death of a family member. I had difficulty communicating with the company that processed my claim. I will not use this company again.

The claim was filed October 25th with 9 attachments, I received an email asking for more information Nov 12th, which i responded to Nov 13th with 4 more attached documents, and got an confirmation email. Since i never heard anything again and the website only shows "RECEIVED" I called on Dec 7th. In the call I was told they sent me an email asking for more information, so i informed them i had responded the following day. She put me on hold and said i would receive a call in 20 minutes to finish up the claim. No call back. I called again with similar results, (being told i would get a call by end of day) on Dec 14th, 15th, 18th, 20th and 27th. Still nothing...they have all said, "I've upgraded your claim to priority and sent it directly to the manager." Now I'm being told they have a 2 week re-review period and I'll receive an email.
DO NOT purchase a plan from Nationwide if there is any chance you might actually use it.
My claim isn't even much, about $400 on a plan that cost $163.

Flights were changed by the airline 2 months prior to trip and the times did not work for us so we cancelled our trip. Nationwide would not cover our claim for a cancelled trip (was only requesting the deposit). We booked another trip for the same week as the cancelled trip and after denying our claim they would not allow us to transfer the insurance we paid for to the rescheduled trip. So we were out the money from the original trip and we had to purchase a new insurance plan for the rescheduled trip. I contacted InsuremyTrip to see if they could do anything to help and they said I had to go through Nationwide. I contacted Nationwide and they said I had to go through InsuremyTrip. I would never use Nationwide or InsuremyTrip again.

Have bought this type of policy several times for peace of mind, but never needed it until this year. My wife got sick during our cruise and we missed our transfer home to airport due to a trip to emergency room. Thankfully, she was fine and luckily I bought the insurance as they covered all medical costs not covered by my insurance plus reimbursed airport transfer fees. Make sure you submit all required documentation including personal health insurance info. Customer service rep was so kind, helpful and patient with me throughout. Re-enforces why buying travel insurance is worth the peace of mind. I'll never travel without insurance again. Highly recommend this very reasonably priced plan.

I purchased a $4000 coverage plan for my trip to Israel. Unfortunately, a terrorist attack occurred, followed by a war outbreak. For safety reasons, the travel provider canceled the trip. My travel insurance, however, refused to cover the $500 non-refundable deposit I paid. They cited that the 33-day gap between the attack and the scheduled departure date exceeded their 30-day limit for coverage. This is extremely frustrating given that the conflict is still ongoing, and I am left as an innocent party affected by these circumstances.
