Hard to say if the plan was a good one. Until a person files a claim and sees how their claim is handled any feedback is useless. I gave the plan middle marks not because it's not a good plan, but since i didn't file a claim, I really don't know if it's a good plan or not. Given no negative experience with the plan, I would buy it again as it appears to contain the coverage and terms I felt applied to my particular circumstances.

The plan we purchased was exactly what we needed. Unfortunately, we had to cancel and reschedule. The plan paid the exact amount we documented with no issues. It took a little longer than expected (about three months) but it was an easy process.

System was user friendly but other than signing up for it I had no contact with anyone. Like all insurance, (home and car) I believe if you don’t ever have to use it there should be some incentive to have money returned to you as a bonus for not using it! I’m 68 yrs old and have paid cray insurance rates since I was 16 and never had to put a claim in! All that money wastedâ€just in case!†Insurance companies should be giving refunds to people who never collect a cent from them! Just my thoughts!

Would have rated a 5, but was not sure if the plan covered cancellation due to hurricanes(Irma) or other related weather problems. Will have to review the coverages more carefully in the future. Possibly a cancel for any reason if cost is reasonable for the trip.

The Travelex Travel Basic policy does not provide Hurricane specific coverage, but does allow cancellation due to the following covered reasons:
"3. Common Carrier delays resulting from inclement
weather, or mechanical breakdown or organized
labor strikes that affect public transportation;"
"8. your Home made uninhabitable by fire, flood,
volcano, earthquake, hurricane or other natural
disaster;"
