Of course you never know how good a plan is until you need it. Since we did not use the coverage it is hard to evaluate. But on the surface it looked like exactly what we needed.

I didn't need the plan and that is about the best thing anyone can say about travel insurance.

I think it is very misleading that if you purchase something like your plane tickets on one day and select your travel package on another that they require you to have purchased the insurance plan within a set time from the first date you booked any element of the trip (to receive full benefits), rather than the last.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The best time to purchase travel insurance is right after you put money down towards your trip. Some policies include time sensitive benefits which are but not limited to pre-existing condition waiver, financial default, Cancel For Any Reason and Cancel For Work Reasons. Most plans require that you purchase a policy within 10 - 30 days of your initial trip payment, and insure all prepaid non refundable trip costs to receive these time sensitive benefits.

    One of the many perks of the CSA Travel Protection Custom Luxe plan is that the pre-existing conditions waiver and Financial Default coverage can be obtained prior to making the final trip payment (the biggest payment towards the trip).

I had a terrible time dealing with Seven Corners the agency who handled a claim for car damage. They sent me forms for the wrong company who sent it back to me delaying the claim a month.
They finally processed it, and a rep said they would send me a $25 gift card to make up for the problems. I never got it until I emailed them. When it finally arrived the cover letter had the wrong name on it! Very poorly organized company. I am taking a long trip to Europe this summer 2016 and will never use them again. Would NOT RECOMMEND.

It took Roam Right three weeks to acknowledge the filing of the claim. The claims department asked for documentation of the exchange rate which was sent within 24 hours. It then took another five weeks (plus an email inquiring about the status of the claim) before we received checks.
