My wife had an emergency medical condition requiring surgery arise just before we were going to take our trip. I filed the claim with CSA and everything was processed quickly and without issue.

Seven Corners Roundtrip
Bottom line: Seven Corners paid for our trip cancellation due to a death of a parent. That said, it took way too long. I provided all the information they asked for. Several weeks later I was told they were missing some information. The information they were missing was in the same attachment for everything else they received, but I sent it out to them again. Three more weeks go by and I have heard nothing. I call a representative who was wonderful. She stated that they were still waiting for that one piece of documentation that I had sent for the second time. She had me send it again adding her name to the subject line. That worked! She received it and got back to me immediately. Then I continued waiting for 2 more weeks, so I sent another email. Several days later, I received an email (by the way, you get an automated email response immediately that says you will hear something in 24 hours. Hah! My first email to them never got a response). This time the email said that everything was approved and that they had issued the payment. I also received a voicemail saying the same. Great! When I didn't receive the payment after a week, I called. The rep apologized for the miscommunication and that it takes 10 days. Two plus weeks later, I'm calling back. The rep checks and says that the check should go out that day. I finally received it, and as I said in my first line, I got the money, but it should have never taken that long and required all the follow ups.

Thankfully I never needed to file a claim against my policy! I was satisfied with the process and cost especially when compared to the cruise line's insurance plan.

TravelSafe Classic
I was going to do a claim for medical and decided after spending an hour trying to get the forms sent to me and them trying to find my coverage that it wasn't even worth it, especially will all the paperwork I needed to complete and to provide proof of payment of the plan when in deed they knew I purchased the plan OR it wouldn't' even be in the system. I don't have time to do the stuff asked when its nonsense!

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The supporting documentation required for travel insurance claims is standard. It sounds as if the claims department was asking for proof of payment for the trip.

      obviously the trip was paid for if I bought insurance and went, with proof of my receipt from the cruise ship doctor. Having to collect credit card statements of my trip bought would take time. Regardless of the trip being paid, If I bought insurance and my receipt is from a cruise ship that should be proof.

        The documentation that you are being asked to provide may seem redundant, but it is a universal requirement for travel insurance claims. I have no idea how good this insurance really is since I did not have to make a claim. I purchased because it seemed to offer a reasonable amount of coverage for a reasonable price, and I found some decent reviews about it from various sources.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
We had to cancel our trip, due to serious illness. Claim was filed and serviced promptly. The customer service reps were courteous, and very helpful and the claim was paid promptly.
