Seven Corners Liaison Travel Basic
One cannot provide a real review of a plan not used...having said that, the price was fair, coverage provided was what we would need, and hopefully representatives would be available 24/7 to help direct to the approved doctors/hospitals/other providers...not to mention prompt payment and assistance in a financial manner while abroad. Lloyd's of London is a well known reinsurer, so if their claim to Lloyd's is valid, then the money is there. Please know that international travel insurance is necessary and quite helpful should you have trouble. Our group members had no personal travel insurance. My family has another workplace carrier and have used it. Also know that your international travel insurance functions a little differently from US carriers. Always call immediately before you have services performed (unless of course it is a life or death or stroke emergency).

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Thankfully we didn’t need to file a claim. But the peace of mind for tgr easonable price of this plan was well worth it. I will be purchasing future coverage from Insure My Trip. They were so easy to work with and professional.

What a great service! I would have paid many times more through the cruise line and received a fraction of the coverage. I checked options on line and was super impressed with the coverage and choices. I used the online chat and had the best experience ever. I got very customized care and was able to tailor a plan literally, with exactly what I wanted. I didn’t have to buy coverage I didn’t want. The agent then sent me links to all the best plans in her opinion. I ended up buying the coverage I wanted for an excellent price and immediately my wife and I had tremendous peace of mind on our vacation without breaking the bank.

My wife and I experienced a major disruption to our trip when the air carrier, Iberia, cancelled our outbound flight and was unable to re-book us for 3 days. We filed a claim with Generali and they handled the claim promptly and fairly.

Generali Global Assistance Preferred
We buy trip insurance for every trip we take, and quite frankly we wouldn't leave home without it. Aside from the fact that my husband's insurance plan does not provide medical coverage outside North America, the level of coverage we secure when traveling far from home in foreign lands is more than any regular coverage anyway, plus it covers for cancellations and trip delays and delayed/lost baggage, etc. Regarding the medical coverage, we know of two cases personally where a high level of trip insurance was needed for medical emergency and evacuation, and instead the people had to pay tens of thousands (possibly into the hundreds of thousands) for hospital/surgery/medical evacuation to return home because they did not have trip insurance. Buy as much as you can afford, and then go up to the next level that you think you can't afford because it is so much better than the alternative of having been able to buy it and instead paying dearly for the unforeseen, possibly for the rest of your life.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
Due to a medical issue, I had to cancel my trip along with my husband. CF Travel Insured has a very detailed refund process. We went step by step and filed the refund request electronically. We had a refund check for the appropriate amount of money within 2 1/2 weeks. No questions were asked or additional information requested. Again, the insured must diligently follow the detailed process.

There are very strict guidelines to add flights to the Travel Insurance. We called to add flights a few days after the window and was refused. This seems unreasonable since we would have to pay for the incremental insurance by documenting flight costs.

    You can always add flights or any other travel expenses to your policy up to the day before your scheduled departure date. However, if you purchased a policy to include the preexisting condition waiver, which is a time sensitive coverage, then you must follow the terms as listed in your CF Travel Insured policy.

    "Waiver of the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion...
    The exclusion for Pre-Existing Condition will be waived provided:
    a) Your Payment for this Policy and enrollment form are received within 21 days of the date Your initial Payment or Deposit for Your Trip is received; and
    b) You insure all Prepaid Trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions and also insure within 21 days of the Payment or Deposit for those Travel Arrangements the cost of any subsequent Travel Arrangements (or any other Travel Arrangements not made through Your travel agent) added to Your Trip; and
    c) You are not disabled from travel at the time Your premium is paid.

    So, if you did not call to add your flights to your policy within the 21 days of purchasing those flights, then the preexisting condition waiver would no longer apply.
