I never use to take out travel insurance until my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Plans can be made but you never know what life brings. On this last trip it ended up one of my children had emergency surgery a month before we were to leave. I was not sure if we would proceed with our plans. Luckily everything was fine and we did go but I was not stressed knowing I had the travel insurance if plans had changed.

This will not only provide higher medical coverage but the limits on baggage loss, baggage delay, trip delay and medical evacuation will be increased as well. We lost expensive train tickets. I called the company and was told how to file a claim and the agent told me we were covered up to $150/ per ticket. We had to repurchase the tickets for our return trip on the train.
We filed all the appropriate paperwork but the claim was denied as lost tickets aren't covered. I wish we had been told this when I called. Very disappointing to find this out after going through the process of completing paperwork.

We apologize for the confusion. Unfortunately there is no reimbursement for lost tickets as you were told by the iTravelInsured claims department. Travel providers do not like to deny a claim before reviewing all the details. Although this takes time, it is also for your protection and ensures that your claim would not be unfairly declined without first reviewing the details.

The Travelex Travel Select plan is a benefit rich policy. In addition to the standard comprehensive policy benefits, this policy also includes Cancel For Work Reasons, Missed Connection, Sporting and Golf Equipment Delay, License Fee Refund, and 24-hour Full Coverage Accidental Death and Dismemberment.
