My trip itinerary was changed & I was told I would receive a refund for some of my trip if I bought this insurance. I did not receive a refund & was told it was because we were informed of the change before we got on the ship...not cool. I will never purchase this again.

This was the 2nd time we purchased this same insurance and have recently purchased it again for cruise in Nov this year. We did file a claim on this times insurance for travel delay. Hurricane Dorian delayed our cruise for 4 days and changed from a 7 day to 3 day cruise. I was waiting to review until our claim was settled. I received word today it was settled for full amount claimed in a reasonable time. We only filed for our stay in a condo and a hotel for 4 nights and 1 meal(did not keep receipts for other food and grocery shopping. I am very satisfied with the way the claim was handled. Will purchase again. Only complaint I have is the price went up from our 2018 purchase due to they dont cover children for free anymore but still think the insurance is a good deal.

Plan was comprehensive and competitively priced. I have Medicare, so medical coverage abroad is important to me. This policy had a 150,000USD benefit, considerably more than most other plans I shopped.

Given the potential secondary ramifications of the Thomas Cook failure on the eve of my departure, the InsureMyTrip plan offered additional coverage and security. My tour company subscribed to UK ATOL (insurance protection for group tours transit) but I feared that insurance fund would be depleted by the Cook failure. I have no idea how to prepare for future BREXIT risks and would like to see separate offers to address this.

There are typically 3 conditions that must be met to purchase a Cancel For Any Reason Rider: Purchase the policy within 10 - 21 days of First Trip Payment; Insure ALL prepaid and non-refundable travel expenses prior to departure; Trip arrangements must be canceled more than 48 -72 hours prior to the departure date. If you meet all 3 of these conditions, this benefit will typically reimburse you 75% of your trip cost, unless otherwise noted.
The Cancel For Any Reason benefit will show under its own box. Please make sure to click on the underlined phrase to view the requirements to qualify for this option. If you decide to buy this Rider, make sure to click on the box near the Cancel For Any Reason benefit and hit the 'buy' button at the top or bottom of the quote. This was about mid grade of the pack as far as price and included adequate coverage for what we needed. I was a little dismayed to see that you essentially can’t get “cancel for any reason” coverage without spending 2-3 times as much and the list of exclusions was tiresome to read through. We didn’t need to use it thankfully, but I was glad it was there in case something came up. The website was very helpful while doing comparison shopping and quickly helped us narrow down the options to the plan we chose.
