Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
Thankfully I didn't have to file a claim. However, shortly after booking my vacation to Punta Cana, we decided to change our destination for safety reasons. I contacted HTH and they were gracious enough to modify my plan at no additional cost. I was very impressed.

We had planned a cruise with my aging parents. When it become clear my mom's health would prevent us from traveling, we submitted a claim with supporting documents. Customer Service was nice and pleasant to work with when we had a question. Within three weeks we had our refund!

I needed to talk to a customer service representative regarding the Hawaii hurricane situation. I didn't think my plan would cover a hurricane and was only seeking confirmation. I called C&F Travel, and after waiting about an hour, I left my phone number for them to call back. The message stated that if I left my number, I would not loose my place in line and they would call me. They never called me, or left a message if I missed it. Wow, that was rude!

Although it is never pleasant to discover that you have an uncovered claim, you will find that Generali Global Assistance, along with most travel insurance plans, exclude coverage for "...money, stamps, stocks and bonds, postal or money orders, securities, accounts, bills, deeds, food stamps or credit cards..."
Because there are no travel insurance plans that will cover every situation, InsureMyTrip encourages travelers to carefully review your policy certificate prior to purchasing the policy. Generali also offers a 10 day review period:
"10-DAY RIGHT TO EXAMINE YOUR DESCRIPTION OF
