Did not have any bad situations, but I felt comfortable by having the insurance. We have seen some people that did not purchase a plan but had some troubles where they would use coverage, like cancelled hotel reservation before the cruise, broken shoes, wet floor accidents on the ship, etc...

Just the protection I wanted for my family's vacation....yet at an affordable price. I've used Insure My Trip many, many times over the years and for lots of trips. I've had to make some claims in the past due to unfortunate circumstances and there was never an issue. Ever. Wouldn't want to travel, especially out of the U.S., without travel insurance for peace of mind. Thanks!

I did not need to use this plan but having the peace of mind was worth the price. A companion traveling with me tripped in port and had to receive a stitch from the medical services on board the ship, total for one stitch and stich removal was about 800 dollars. He was glad he had trip insurance!

My husband developed a severe back injury 1 month before our departure date, and as he was not able to travel, we had to cancel our cruise. I submitted the required paperwork and was compensated for all my lost revenue and non-refundable deposits. Was very happy with the plan and the way the company handled the claim. Customer reps were helpful.

I cancelled my trip to Hawaii, but was not able to cancel this insurance which made me very mad and sad. A waste of money for me, but a boon for you.
Sorry can not rate this insurance, but Nationwide is not consumer friendly. It stinks.

This policy came with a 10-day review period. The policy certificate states, in paragraph 3 of page 1, "All premium is non-refundable after a ten (10) day review period from the date of purchase in the event You have not incurred any claims during that time. In the event the premium paid for coverage is less than the required premium for coverage, benefits will be paid in direct proportion of the actual amount paid to the required premium due."
