AIG Travel Travel Guard Platinum
My husband got a promotion at work and as a result he could not take the vacation time as planned. We did get a refund for the majority of the trip from the airline. And AIG was very quick to process our claim for the balance. We're very satisfied.

Thankfully, we had no reason to file any claims. For this reason, we have no experience with the underlying insurer. The policy appeared competitively priced for the coverages we wanted.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Choice Cruise
Cannot say how good the plan was since I did not need to file a claim. Having the peace of mind knowing we were covered in case of a medical emergency while on our cruise was worth it. There were 3 people that need to be taken off our ship for medical help. Knowing that we had the insurance while out of the country especially if we need to be evacuated by helicopter gave us great peace of mind.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
Our trip to Sanibel, FL was interrupted due to Hurricane Irma. I filed a Trip Interruption Claim on 9/29/17 and received my reimbursement on 11/6/17. I felt the claims process was easy and efficient, and their staff were very helpful. I even received a call telling me my reimbursement was on the way.

Although I did not need the insurance for the trip just knowing it was there was reassuring. At the end of the trip I thought I might need the insurance as my flight was cancelled and I was not notified, but Southwest worked out a reasonable flight plan.

TravelSafe Classic
This was a very good plan for what I needed. Thankfully I did not need to use it but was very sure if I had, I would have been covered. Too many people neglect to take out insurance, thinking it will never happen. I buy insurance hoping I will never have to use it but it gives peace of mind knowing it is there if needed!

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I needed to see a doctor on a cruise ship and he needed to give me a prescription for medication I needed for my thyroid for 10 days. Had I waited the 10 days of the cruise I would have been severely thrown into a medical problem. I was told that wasn’t covered because it was not an emergency that happened on the ship. It could have turned into an emergency but I needed the medication and I had to do what I had to do and I did assume that it was covered. We have always been satisfied when we have had to use medical for any reasons in the past. I will continue to use InsureMyTrip for our insurances but I was just disappointed that this could not have been taken care of and my home insurance does not take care of me when I am out of the country.

    We are sorry to hear that you had a medical situation on your trip, but are happy to hear it was treated early.

    For a medical situation to be covered under this policy, it must be considered emergency medical and first occur during your covered trip. "Benefits will be paid for the Covered Expense incurred, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Confirmation of Benefits as a result of a Covered Accidental Injury or covered Sickness, which first occurs during Your Trip."

    For the purposes of the insurance policies on our site, Emergency Medical refers to a medical situation that requires the immediate care of a physician or doctor.
