There was one occasion when it looked as if we would miss our connecting flight because our plane was delayed. Because we had booked it ourselves on a different airline we would not be helped or directed in any way if we missed the connection. There was a very strong comfort in knowing that if we missed the flight we were insured for that. Well worth the investment.

Fortunately, on our current trip we had no reason to use our trip insurance. However we did feel comfortable with our protection because of a past experience when we did need our insurance coverage and the service and processing of our claim was handled quickly and professionally. We will continue to purchase Generali trip insurance for all of our foreign travel.

Travel insurance is paramount when you are traveling overseas because there is no way of knowing if or when an accident or injury will occur and the medical costs associated with that event can be very expensive.
