Since we had no issues on our trip and did not have to file a claim, we cannot attest to how a claim would be handled by the company. However, we can say that the peace-of-mind that the travel insurance policy gave us helped us enjoy the trip to the fullest.

This is the second insured trip with Generali Global Assistance Standard plan. Based upon my experience to date I would definitely recommend Generali. The cost is reasonable and all customer representatives contacted have been professional, knowledgeable and responsive to any questions.

I was glad I didn't have to use it, but it was comforting to know that we had it anyway. No one likes to pay for something they don't use, but with insurance, it's always good to have adequate coverage in case of an emergency.

Obviously I did not really test the coverage since I did not file a claim, but the process was easy to obtain the coverage and the coverage seemed very competitive for what I needed. I would use Generali Global Assistance again.
