Since i was going on the trip for a wedding i wanted coverage for several reasons. I was disappointed that the plan did not cover some important things for me - like if i had to cancel due to my daughter going into labor. It's pretty typical with trip insurance not covering things like that. The agent i talked to was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the plan. It was my choice to go ahead and buy the plan even though it did cover all my needs

We do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
First time purchasing trip insurance. Did not end up needing it but think this was a fair price for the coverage in case we did. For simple trips, would recommend buying trip insurance separate from the travel company as I was able to save a few bucks. Sign up process was really simple and Nationwide provided all the information needed via email. Would definitely go with a "name brand" company like Nationwide.

I am a travel agent and I purchased your insurance for my clients, I know that you don't pay commission however I think its important for my clients to be protected. I am happy that they use my services to book their vacations will me and for that I feel I am compensated with my agent commission. The isn't the first time I have used your company. Had wallet stolen while on trip; there is basically no coverage...Also if you do submit claim they require original receipts for any claimed item.
While we could not use any coverage (due to excluding any coverage for the lost wallet) it may be difficult to provide original receipts for a replacement i.e. suitcase and clothes...it would appear this could be used to deny any coverage if a loss is incurred.

Travel insurance plans are "named peril" policies which means only those perils/hazards that are specifically listed in the policy are covered. In addition, all plans have their "exclusions and limitations" which may affect your coverage.
