Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
Too slow to process claims, customer service teams are not all on the same page, get different answers every time. Too many repetitive documents requested, all PDFs, need to fill in manually. It took almost 5 months for them to adjudicate the claim. Their customer service is terrible, they can't commit to any timelines, and their people are overloaded with claims. I would avoid this company at all costs.

Claims for this plan are managed by a 3rd party "Coordinated Benefit Plans". My claim has been processing now for almost 3 months, and they do not have any timeline on when they claim will be adjudicated. They say it's because of a high volume of claims, and anytime they ask you for new documentation, it resets the clock all over again. CBPs customer service is terrible, they don't commit to anything and don't resolve anything either. You just have to sit and wait, meanwhile if your charges are on a credit card, you have to eat the interest costs. Please avoid any policy managed by CBP at all costs.

How can I write a review for a policy I was required to get but didn't use? The insurance was a very good idea and I won't travel without it in the future. I'm glad I didn't need it!

Insure My Trip has been absolutely no help in getting my issue resolved (cancelled trip and refund request) and Generali Global Assistance has proven to be more intuned with keeping my money than helping to resolve my issues during the Pandemic. My wife and I cancelled the cruise to Aruba back in August and informed Insure My Trip. I was told that I had to go thru Generali Global Assistance to get a resolution. After multiple non returned calls to them I have given up ever getting a resolution. I will say that Insure My Trip was NOT very helpful and I will never get another Generali Global policy.

Not only was the processing of this insurance policy so quick and easy, it was very reasonably priced and covered an array of potential issues. I could travel with the freedom of knowing I was covered if something happened. Thankfully, nothing did. But if you ever really need insurance, you can't get it. An incredible value.
