Good value for the price. I would not travel without trip insurance. We travel to Ireland every year and have always had trip insurance, it's the smart thing to do.

When I found myself lying flat on my back in the middle of a busy Bangkok street after being hit by a man on a bicycle, the first thing that ran through my mind was, "Thankfully, I have good travel insurance!" As it turned out, I was fine and did not need medical attention, but it could've been quite serious. I'll never leave the country again without CSA - the plan I purchased had the best medical coverage value by far.

Unfortunately, we had to use the plan as our trip needed to be canceled. The folks at CSA were understanding, efficient and competent. The response time was remarkable and I will use them for our next trip.

We had to cancel our river cruise because of a heart attack 2 days before our departure. We phoned CSA and got the process started several days later. We actually had our refund of the entire amount less that 2 weeks later. Great service!!

The one thing I requested assistance with was not provided, despite the fact that the CSA website said they could assist. I thought I had lost my passport. Based on my CSA plan documents indicating you could help with lost or stolen travel documents, I contacted CSA and was given no assistance or guidance whatsoever. After being bounced around to three different extensions, all the representative said was, "your policy doesn't cover passport replacement." No help with how I should solve my dilemma, who I should call, etc. Just a waste of precious time I couldn't afford to waste while I was trying to beat the clock to save my vacation. Why claim that you can assist with stolen/lost travel documents if you can't? You made a stressful situation worse.

    UPDATE: I'm very glad to report that CSA took the time to read and review my complaint and took corrective action to ensure others won't suffer the same fate. Their response, action to re-train those who dealt with me and the gesture of reimbursing my plan cost have restore my faith that they truly endeavor to make traveling worry-free. As such, I am amending my survey to indicate that I would (and WILL) use them again.
