The plan was fine as described, but I would have preferred a "cancel for any reason" plan, even if it cost a bit more. Fortunately, I did not need to file a claim against this insurance policy.

Cancelled my trip because of the c19 virus and was told I couldn’t claim anything what a joke this insurance was

It was great being able to review all plans in one place. I plan to buy all my trip insurance through insuremytrip.com in the future. The costs were less expensive and the coverage better than what cruise lines offer.

I am quired about the possibility of some thing being covered by the plan. I waited 75 minutes on hold the first day before I gave up and finally got to speak to a human after more than 100 minutes the next day. You should be ashamed with yourself to provide such a piss poor level of customer service

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Nationwide communicated with me just before my trip to remind me of how to contact them if needed, as well as after my trip to be sure everything went well. While I did not need to use my insurance, I appreciated knowing they were there.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
Very disappointing coverage. 1. We missed our connection due to British Air and had to spend the night in Johanesburg, rather than Victoria Falls. British air put us up in a moderate airport hotel, nothing like the 5* hotel we paid for. Even though the policy had "trip interruption coverage" CF said it did not apply to the cost of the hotel we paid for but could not occupy in Victoria Falls, BECAUSE OUR TRIP WAS INTERRUPTED, since we were covered by British Air putting us up in Johanesburg. (HUH? was my response) 2. On my return, my bags arrived in NY 2 days late, but Baggage Delay coverage did not apply since I was already home (even though I live in Florida, not NY, and my winter coat was in my DELAYED baggage.) True to form, when dealing with insurance companies, excuses, not reasons, apply when attempting to get reimbursed for coverage paid for.

We were unable to travel due to the corona virus in Italy. Your plan would not pay anything per your agent and I purchased trip insurance for nothing.
