Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
We cancelled our trip in January, and asked if there would be any refund. We were told that no refunds are given. So, in essence. We paid for absolutely no service.

When you purchased your Worldwide Trip Protector plan back on 08/28/2018, Crum and Forster Travel Insured did offer you a 14 Day Review Period:
"FOURTEEN DAY LOOK: If You are not satisfied for any reason, You may cancel insurance under this Policy by giving the Company or the agent written notice within the first to occur of the following: (a) 14 days from the Effective Date of Your Insurance; or (b) Your Scheduled Departure Date. If You do this, the Company will refund Your premium paid provided no Insured has filed a claim under this Policy."
Since you apparently canceled this trip back on 01/22/2019, you were well outside the 14 Day Review Period, so there would be no refund of premium. However, we did transfer you to the Crum and Forster Travel Insured's claims department in the event that you wished to file a claim.

We filed the claim.Claim was processed promptly and fairly. We are very satisfied with this plan and will buy it again.We would recommend the Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company Choice Cruise plan to everyone.

C&F Travel Insured InternationalWorldwide Trip Protector Plus
Did not have an abundance of insurance options when the word, "Iran" was listed as destination, but my experience there was never one which would be described as dangerous or uninsurable for reasons of terrorism, lack of health care, crime, etc. On my way home from Cape Cod to Minnesota I drove through Glastonbury ( I am originally from CT) and thought about stopping in to say no problemo in Iran but of course with insurance there never is a problem unless disagreement occurs regarding a claim. It was decided by me to purchase airplane fare before receiving visa so cancel for any reason was deemed important.

Easy to understand the coverages and charges I didn't need to file a claim but our connecting flight to our Amsterdam flight was delayed 4 hours due to mechanical problems. Luckily we were put on a flight on another airline. Had we been stuck in ORD for the night it was nice to know the insurance would have kicked in to help out.

My wife and I were about to depart on a long-planned (very expensive) vacation and cruise aboard the Regent Explorer. However, right before we were to leave for our flight to Italy, both of us became seriously ill and we were both hospitalized. Fortunately we had purchased our policy thru InsureMyTrip and I had selected Generali as our provider. The service from Generali could not have been better. The entire process was handled very efficiently via email. After submitting all of the forms and doctors' reports (extensive but understandable) our claim was paid immediately. Although we were very disappointed that we were unable to take our cruise, we could not be more satisfied with the service and claim processing we received from Generali. I highly recommend that anyone contemplating a trip consider Generali as their insurance provider. I should also note that Generali was extremely competitive in their pricing as well. Thank you InsureMyTrip and Generali.
