I really think you should use total HOURS not days for the insurance. I left on a Red Eye but pay for the whole day. I also find that for a 72 hour trip the rates are too high.

When traveling to third world countries, I certainly would want transport back to the US int he event of an accident or life threatening emergency. InsureMyTrip is the first stop after plans are in place to complete travel arrangements. I've never needed the protection offered, but it's soothing to know its available. I provided the itinerary of our trip, but the claim agent was not satisfied and got the itinerary from our tour company. I thought it seemed "untrusting" when information was asked for.
